Investor responsibilities

  • Verify the adviser’s SEBI registration and understand the written terms.
  • Pay advisory fees only through permitted banking channels and retain receipts.
  • Provide accurate financial information for risk profiling and suitability analysis.
  • Never share trading, demat or banking passwords, login credentials or OTPs.
  • Do not rely on promises of assured, fixed or guaranteed returns.

Client agreement

Most Important Terms and Conditions (MITC)

  1. The adviser accepts only fees for investment-advisory services and must not accept client funds or securities for investment.
  2. Investment advice does not guarantee returns, accuracy, profit or risk-free outcomes.
  3. Assured, fixed or guaranteed-return schemes are prohibited.
  4. The adviser cannot execute a trade for a client without the client’s specific, positive consent for that trade.
  5. Fees, advance-fee periods, termination refunds and any breakage fee remain subject to current SEBI and IAASB limits.
  6. Risk profiling and suitability analysis must be completed before advice and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
  7. Material conflicts of interest must be disclosed promptly.
  8. Clients should keep their contact details current and must never share account credentials or OTPs.
